One of many errors in the published version of FCC Rules and Regulations Part 11 is the incorrect citation of the source of the FIPS Codes.
Part 11 says they are in National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) document number 772.
In fact, 772 is the form upon which all changes to Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) are promulgated to the rest of the world.
The current version of the actual document is NIST Publication 6-4.
